This is Dorothy Counts, she was one of the first black students admitted to the Harry Harding High School, in Charlotte, North Carolina. After four days of intimidation that pressurize her safety, her parents told her to withdraw immediately from the school. She was born in the year 1942

Dorothy Counts, the girl being bullied by her classmates, was one of the first black students to be admitted to an all-white school. It happened in September 1957, at Harry Harding High School in Charlotte, North Carolina.

After a couple of years another remarkable young Black woman attempted to go to an all-white school in North Carolina by the name of Dorothy Counts. Dorothy Counts set out on a harrowing path toward Harding High, whereas the first African American to attend the all-white school.

However, the act of fearlessness echoed across the society of the time, impose the cry for actual fairness and emancipation.
